All seats were filled for the third performance of "The Astonishing Story of Mary Alice Berners" on Friday 24th September 2021. The three performances have now raised just shy of £800 for the Friends of Woolverstone. I'm hoping that this money will go towards refurbishment of the brasses belonging to the Berners family in St Michael's church, Woolverstone. I think it is important that the names on the brasses should be legible so their life stories can live on. The memorial to John Charles Spencer Warwick bears the inscription on the last line: "This tablet is erected by his sister". There is surely a tale to tell there.
